Melody in the Stacks
A series of mini concerts hosted at the Tateuchi East Asia Library to showcase underrepresented cultural performances, with an emphasis on Chinese, Korean and Japanese music.
It all began with a conversation with my supervisor about how we could make the newly-renovated library more engaging for students.
With 3 years of experience in concert organization, graphic design and marketing, I put together a recurring concert event to brighten the library’s spaces and offer a wonderful space for new musicians to perform. I was honored to be able to host a successful kick-off concert in May 2024, featuring Elene Liu and Stephanie Lam.
Following its success, I organized a longer second concert in November 2024, featuring more performers and a wider range of music. Additionally, with many thanks to my friend Juan Posada, we were able to professionally record the concert with two overhead microphones.
(recordings will be uploaded soon!)
