Graphic Design at the Libraries
I began working at the Tateuchi East Asia Library initially as a student assistant, helping sort post-war maps of Japan. After a quarter, I took on an entirely graphic design role and have since been responsible for creating numerous promotional graphics, collection display pieces and informational posters.
Notably, my pamphlet used at the Grand Reopening Ceremony was able to assist over 150 attendees as they explored the newly-renovated library spaces.
Currently, my graphics work on the Special Collections Exhibit is on display in the lobby of the library, showcasing rare and beautiful illustrations from our China, Japan and Korea studies collections.
In collaboration with my coworker Elene Liu and Junseo Park, we have started our own instagram page for the library to promote our space and new events.
